Technically right or the right moment?

This post is going to be a short debate living in my brain…

Looking at the shortlisted photos(none of which are mine) for a photo competition, set me thinking about the topic as per the subject above. While selecting through my photos for the potential ones to submit for the competition couple of months earlier, I had eliminated out a whole lot of photos(that I like a lot) which are not within technical flaw allowance of mine.

Perhaps it was my (short and few) experiences with stock photo sites that affected my decisions. Before being able to get my photos on stock photo sites, I faced many rejections for the photos I submitted. To a certain extent, that made me a better technical photographer as those sites are always SO critical of technical flaws.

However, I noticed that the photos shortlisted for the later stage of the competition tend to lean towards capturing of The Moment than being technically perfect. That made me think if I should make changes to my mindset.

Ideally, I think I need to be able to switch my mindset for different photo situations… as appropriately as possible.

So, which kind of photographer are you?

  1. Undeniably consider that that you stated. Your favourite reason appeared to be at the internet the easiest factor
to be mindful of. I say to you, I certainly get annoyed whilst folks think about concerns
that they just don’t recognize about. You controlled to hit the nail upon the
top and outlined out the entire thing with no need side-effects ,
people could take a signal. Will likely be back to get more.
    Thank you
